When we were approached by MarieJoy Design and our amazing client to execute a custom condo renovation in Yaletown, we knew we had found ourselves a unique project. Situated on the 32nd floor of a condo tower on marinaside crescent overlooking false creek, the views throughout the space were breathtaking. We laid Vintage engineered hardwood flooring throughout, with large 18” x 36” Geostone Natural Terra tile imported directly from Italy for the front entrance. Custom millwork was installed in the kitchen, bathrooms and a full walk-in closet in the master bedroom. Caesarstone Quartz countertops were installed in the kitchens and bathrooms. We also installed a custom frosted glass barn door with exposed hinges which aesthetically took the entryway to another level.
One of the most unique design features of this renovation were the large 13” x 39.5” contour natural tiles that we installed around the fireplace, which took a high level of patience for our skilled craftsmen to execute. Every project we embark on has its fair share of challenges, as well as unique design features, which was evident in the construction of this fireplace. At Rechsteiner Construction, we work closely with the interior design team, as well as our clients, to ensure their vision and dream, becomes a reality. When we build, it’s all about the details!
Situated in the prestigious Government Road area of Burnaby, this charming split level house was ready for a renovation. The kitchen, dining and living room area of this house were all original and our wonderful client had decided the time had come to modernize the living space. We removed a partition wall between the old dining room and the kitchen, which considerably increased the amount of usable living space. By removing this wall and creating an “open concept”, the site lines throughout the entire space were greatly enhanced.
We also enlarged the existing skylight opening in the kitchen, which was now centred on the new island. This increased amount of light has made the entire kitchen feel larger. Custom cabinetry, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances were installed throughout the kitchen. In the living room, a wall hung T.V. was installed with custom millwork and open “floating” shelves on either side. This has created a feature wall that you can’t take your eyes off. At Rechsteiner Construction, we work diligently with our clients to turn their dream home into a reality. When we build, it’s all about the details!
Located in the Steveston area of Richmond, the upstairs bathrooms in this two level house were in need of an update. When we were contacted by Marie Sutton Design to be the contractor on this project, we did not hesitate one bit. The unique design features and product specifications that were presented to us were all very custom and we knew this would be a very special project that we wanted to be a part of.
A custom vanity and open shelving was installed in the ensuite. Quartz stone was installed on the vanity, shower bench seat and the shower curb. One of the most unique features of the project were the 1 cm glass sheet tiles installed as an accent in the shower. This singular feature takes the bathroom to another level. At Rechsteiner Construction, we specialize in working with interior designers to execute their vision, along the way ensuring all of our clients are fully satisfied with their custom project. When we build, it’s all about the details!
